All healthy clients are eligible for a drop ticket or shortened application process. The drop ticket process usually involves a client telephone interview. You must prepare your client for the interview ahead of time.
Drop Ticket – this is an application process also referred to as teleapp. This is a shortened application that requires the carrier to call the client to finish the app verbally during that interview.
Accelerated Underwriting – this is an underwriting process and guidelines vary by carrier. This underwriting process is typically applied for through a Drop Ticket application. If the client fits within the carrier specific guidelines, it is possible for the exam to be waived.
We recommend the full paper application for clients with major medical ailments or complicated situations. We also recommend your client avoid answering any medical questions via telephone interview.
