ING’s U.S. Employee Benefits division (ING) today announced the expanded availability of its voluntary insurance products through distribution on BENEFITFOCUS HR InTouch®, a technology platform for online enrollment, HR efficiency and employee communication.
ING today announced that Chad Tope has been promoted to president of ING’s U.S. Annuity and Asset Sales Distribution. In this capacity, he is responsible for annuity and asset sales through multiple forms of distribution including general agencies, banks and broker-dealers. Tope had previously been senior vice president and national sales manager for ING’s Fixed Annuity Distribution.
ING has announced the promotion of Heather Lavallee to president of Employee Benefits Distribution. Most recently, Lavallee served as a regional vice president and general manager of ING Employee Benefits. In her new role, she will be responsible for the business’ group and voluntary distribution teams and overall marketing efforts throughout the U.S. ING Employee Benefits offers traditional group life insurance, disability income insurance, and stop-loss insurance to employers, and voluntary benefits to employees.

The ING Life Companies have unveiled a new, interactive online tool that aims to make it easier for Spanish-speaking Americans to learn about life insurance. Dubbed ING For LifeSM en Español, the online tool walks consumers through an education process to help them determine the type of life insurance product and estimated amount of life insurance that best fits their personal situation.
ING Life Companies’ President of Retail Life Distribution Dan Mulheran, LLIF, CLU, ChFC, officially joined the board of directors of LL Global, the parent organization of LIMRA and LOMA. Mulheran and the other new board members, elected during LL Global’s annual meeting in the fall, will serve a three-year term beginning in 2011. As part of the board of directors, they will help set policy and guide the actions of the LIMRA and LOMA, which represent the life insurance and financial services industry in more than 73 countries worldwide.

The ING life companies have introduced a Life Insurance Capacity (LIC) Calculator to help insurance producers estimate the maximum amount of coverage that could be in force for a given client based on the company's underwriting guidelines. ING Life Companies said today that it has relaunched its corporate variable universal life insurance product (ING Corporate VUL, policy form series #2516) issued by Security Life of Denver Insurance Company with enhanced pricing. The enhancement follows the recent additions of a dedicated online site, known as “The Executive Benefits Resource Center,” and a chapter-by-chapter introduction/training manual, “How to Sell Executive Benefits.”
